Hello to All!
It is Wednesday, April 30, 2008 and it is a Day #1.Family Reading Night Tonight was a huge success! This took place last Friday 6:30pm-8:00pm in the AFES Cafeteria. There were be several guest readers to read for the children and refreshments as well. There were many children and parents in attendance. The readers did a GREAT job! Those readers were: Mr. Dan Hoey, Mr. Martin Deslauies with Mr. Dan Dohman accompanying with violin, Mrs. June Zerrahn, Mrs. Grace Potthast, Mr. Jason Larabie, Ms. Tara Mulvey, and Mr. Doug Garrand. Thank you to those readers for giving of their time for the children of this area. Thank you to Rebecca Douglas for all her hard work in putting this event together. Also, thank you to the Hollywood Theater for their generous donation of popcorn, and thank you to members of the book club for their help.
The CFES Visit to Plattsburgh State University went very well. There were 19 students in attendance. They took a tour of the campus, watched a great presentation in the Planetarium they also saw a great presentation on Bats and Caves. Then they ate lunch in the campus dining hall. Students also received a free T-shirt. The students enjoyed the visit and got a taste of college life. Thank you to Dr. Light and Ms. Marsh for hosting this tour.
