Good Tuesday Morning! February 3, 2009.

Hi everyone: 

Good Tuesday Morning! February 3, 2009. It is a Day #5.


A few notes:  

1. The AFES Spelling Bee went great this morning!  Congratulations to all the students who qualified to participate for their grade level and congratulations to all the grade level winners.  Thank you to Mrs. Estes for running this program again for us this year.  She does an outstanding job.  She will be announcing the winners..

2. The AFES Student Council is hosting a Food Drive that runs through Monday Feb. 9th.  This is to support our local food bank which is critically low on supplies.  If it is possible, please help us with this important drive.  Food can be sent in with your student or dropped off in the school lobby.

3. Mr. Hoey held his annual swim for grades 4-6 on Wednesday, Jan. 28th.  It was a huge success!  Thank you Mr. Hoey!

4. This Thursday, Feb. 5th is an early release day.  Students will be dismissed at 12:00pm. 

5. There will be a SRA Assembly this Friday at 1:15pm in the AFES gym.

    It really is too bad that this blog has been ignored. It doesn’t help with the communication between school and home either!

    Hard to believe that nothing has happened in the whole school since February 3rd!!! Keeseville Elementary seems to have quite a bit going on! What’s up with that????? I’m truly disappointed.

    Being a new parent in this school, I was very excited when I read in your newletter that you had a blog. What a great way for us parents that can’t be at school regularly to keep up on the happenings. But, I have to say my excitement was short lived. I can’t believe that nothing has happened at this school since February. Whoever is responsible for this blog, you should be ashamed of yourself. This is one big “F” on your report card. I really hope this is not a reflection of how things are run in this school, and if it is perhaps I need to reconsider where my child will be attending school. Shame on you AuSable Forks Elementary.
