Good Tuesday Morning, April 1, 2008 - April Fool’s Day!
Hello Everyone!
Wow! The weather is going to be warm today! A high of 60, the warmest day of 2008… so far. They are warning of high winds and possible flooding.
The Talent Show is only days away. The students are rehearsing and very excited to show what they can do. The show is Friday at 6:30pm and promises to be… entertaining! The students will do their best and, just as important, they will have fun!
I am looking for volunteers to assist with the talent show that evening so if you can lend a hand, please contact me at 647-5503 or email me at dwlincoln2002@hotmail.com.
The Pennies for Patients coin drive is going well. As of Friday afternoon, we had raised $532.34 The top two classes, as of Friday, were Mrs. Este’s class and Mr. Carey’s class. The drive runs until Friday, April 4th. I will try to have the total to announce at the Talent Show… if I can have it counted in time! If anyone would like to help count, contact me at the above phone number or email address.
The PTO will be sponsoring an Appreciation Breakfast for the Bus Drivers of AFES on today. Thanks to the PTO for doing this and a BIG THANK YOU to the Bus drivers that work so hard to see that our students arrive at school and home everyday safely and on time. We all appreciate your patience and skill.
