Good Monday Morning, May 19, 2008

Good Morning,

I hope everyone is had great weekend.

Today is Monday, May 19, 2008.  It is a day #4.

A few notes and upcoming events:

1. Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 20th is the Budget Vote and Arts and Cultural Extravaganza.  Be sure to exercise your right to vote.  Not only are we voting on the budget but there is one seat open on the Board of Education with 4 candidates running for that seat.  I hope to see you there!

2. The Book Club will be meeting this afternoon, 2:15-3:00pm.  The book club is now advised by Mrs. Manning.

3. This Thursday and Friday the 6th grade will be holding their Annual Memorial Day Commemorative Exercises.  These are events and presentations that Mr. Remillard and Mr. Carey arrange for the 6th grade students each year which includes a visit by the local Army Reserve with an Army vehicle, a presentation and Q & A session by area veterans, marching, a chance to run through an obstacle course, and much more.  The 6th grade students enjoy this event every year.

4. The AFFD Auxiliary will be holding a Student Dance this Friday!

5. The Annual Elementary Combined Spring Concert Thursday evening was a huge success.  The chorus students and band students from both Keeseville Elementary and AFES put on a great performance.  The grand finale with all chorus students from both Keeseville Elementary and AFES performing a song together was absolutely outstanding!  Congratulations to Ms. Stanyon (formerly Mrs. Carter), Mrs. Boulerice and Mrs. Biggar.  And a special thank you and congratulations to all the students that performed.  It was the best concert yet!

I hope everyone has a great day! – Dean Lincoln
